Often called the "Pandora of food," this marks the first redesign of the site since 2010. The updated Foodspotting unifies the website and apps and lets you search through the 2.5 million different dishes on Foodspotting in several different ways.
?We redesigned Foodspotting to make the 'foodseeking' experience shine," FoodSpotting co-founder Alexa Andrzejewski told Mashable. ?This year we've turned our attention to helping foodseekers -- not just foodies or food photo takers, but anyone looking for something to eat -- navigate that information in ways that weren't really possible before Foodspotting.?

With the site (and the mobile app) you can search for a particular food you?re craving, check out what?s good at a specific restaurant or see what other foodspotters, friends, and experts like in your area.
For instance, if you?re craving something covered in chocolate, a simple search on the site or with the app will bring up all the chocolate-covered dishes located around you. Likewise, if you decide you need to dine on brains this evening, you can search for dishes containing brains that might be available at eateries near you. You can also look at a world view of a particular dish, and check out where you might find the "best" of something.
So what do people look for on Foodspotting? Andrzejewski says the most popular searches are for things you might expect: breakfast, pizza, and sushi. After those there?s a huge list of searches that gets a lot more interesting. The top 100 searches in the past month for instance includes Dosa, Lobster, Laksa, Pumpkin, Bubble Tea, Dim Sum and Dumplings.
Long-time Foodspotting users will notice that some features on the site have been redesigned or reshuffled around to make things easier.
Every food find on the site is bookmarkable and shareable, and foods are tagged do you can keep up with what?s happening in your favorite category, be it what you can find in McDonald?s or even the best balls in the world.
A map on the website?s homescreen lets you narrow down dishes to a particular area. On your phone, you can also narrow a search down to a particular area, including your current location when you?re looking for somewhere to grab a bite.
